Dave McClain is an award-winning actor, experienced voiceover artist and published writer living in the Houston area. Dave completed over 80 screen projects in his first four years as a professional actor, including feature films & award-winning short films, TV shows & web series and music videos – and he’s still going strong. He also acted in plays in several states and Europe, performed at the AACT National Theater Festival and has written and directed a variety of theatrical and video productions.
Dave was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, the oldest of six children. He raised two children as a single parent. Dave graduated Magna Cum Laude from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and was a high school history teacher in Chesapeake, Virginia for seven years. He then served for 20 years in the U.S. Army as a broadcast journalist and public affairs soldier/supervisor, training and serving around the country, at the Pentagon and in Europe, also deploying to Iraq, Jordan and Haiti. In late 2015, Dave “retired” to Katy, Texas with his wife, Elizabeth Ponce-McClain, and devoted himself to a career in the arts. His other interests include movies, TV, trivia, history, politics, sports, photography and travel.
